Prior to joining Andrew’s Legal Group, Ayla was a Senior Federal Prosecutor with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (Human Exploitation and Border Protection branch), where she prosecuted matters of national significance. She also practised as a criminal defence lawyer with a prestigious Melbourne firm, regularly appearing as solicitor advocate and instructing Counsel in the Children’s, Magistrates’, County, Supreme and Federal Circuit Courts across Victoria and Western Australia.
Ayla’s earlier career includes her work as a Forensic Disability Specialist with the Department of Health and Human Services, where she oversaw treatment and rehabilitation programs for offenders with intellectual disability and dual diagnosis.
